The world under water is teeming with diverse fish species. Try typing 'tropical fishes' on your search engine and you might find yourself astonished and overwhelmed by their huge number and wide range of colors that characterize them. As for me, that is what happened after I decided to take fish tails as my next subject.
Back in April, I took the time off from work for about a week and brought this when I visited my hometown. For days that I was in my room (plus the time before I took the break), I went through hours of picking the fish tails that I will use for the artwork. The decision to place them in spiral form came from the idea of gracefulness that the fishes show while they swim together with the flow of water.
A total of 26 different fish tails were used, all swirling down toward the eye, and some splashes of water that I superimposed on the whole.

This is a very memorable artwork because it is the first one that I sold. A very good friend from the office bought a print version of this and she plans to hang it on the wall of her new home, which I am very much excited to see.

Finally, after looking at this one for countless times, I think I will be doing a separate series that involves different formations of objects that convey movement. Probably it will go side by side with the current series which I am excited to share with you on the upcoming posts!
